CHRISTMAS HELP | |
Hello everyone My name is Colette and over the past year I have been collecting donations of used children’s items for single parents and low income families. What I would really love to do now is have people out there who would be willing to sponsor families or just a child for Christmas. I know how hard it is as a single mom to give my child everything he wants, but if you are willing to help please let me know. If you have a Facebook account please go to Single Parents in Mississauga to see the people I have been helping. Things I am looking for are diapers, wipes, all sizes of children’s clothing, toys, pet food, pet toys, grocery gift cards, items for the parents, or if you would like specific information on a family you would like to help please contact me. I wanted to start this group for people who felt bad about being non religious and didn’t feel comfortable turning to church organisations for help. They are great places and help so many people, but I have found that a lot of people I have talked to feel ashamed about asking for help when they don’t believe in god. For myself I just wanted a safe place where no one has to be ashamed of asking for help because all I ask in return is for them to help out by donating their own children’s clothing when they grow out of them so that they have the feeling that they are giving back and not just taking. Other organisations run by the church you can donate to are St Vincent De Paul, Salvation Army, Vita Manor, The Dam, and Eden Food Bank. Thank you so much for taking the time to read this.
