Long Haul Truck Drivers
Title: Long Haul Truck Driver (NOC: 7411)
Employer: Fairway Recycle Group Inc., 12311 Mitchell Road, Richmond, British Columbia, V6V 1M7
Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time
Salary: $24.00 to $28.00 hourly, minimum 40 hours per week with potential for 60 hours weekly

Education: High School
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Driver's Licence (Class 1 or A), Air Brake (Z) Endorsement
Experience: Because of the nature of road conditions, as well dangerous goods such as asbestos often being transported, more than one year of work experience would be a tremendous asset.
Languages: English, Serbian an asset
Specific Skills: Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Loading and unloading of goods, Plan travel schedules and routes, Use atlases and other trip planning aids, Receive and relay information to central dispatcher, Drive as part of a two-person team or single. Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage and other equipment, Monitor vehicle performance and mechanical fitness.

Type of Trucking and Equipment: Tractor-trailer, highway, Dump Type of Travel: Long-haul, Provincial/territorial, International Documentation Knowledge: Driver logbook, Bill of lading, Inspection report (pre-trip, en-route, post-trip), Trans-border documentation, Maintenance and repair reports, Trip reports, Accident or incident reports.
Communication Equipment Experience: Cellular phone, Satellite tracking (GPS) equipment
Weight Handling: Up to 45 kg (100 lbs)
Transportation/Travel Information: Must be able to travel cross-border, willing to travel for extended periods.
Security and Safety: Basic security clearance, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract), Medical exam, Drug test Work Conditions
